Blocked 2-piece Vintage inspired Felt Hat & Upturned Brim with Mela Hoyt-Heydon

$480.00

Modern millinery often pulls inspiration from the past.

The 1940’s gave us shallow crowned hats with tipped brims, adding a bit of mystery to the wearer.
Using either fur felt, or wool felt capelines, you’ll explore how to create a two-piece hat with a slanted brim that will stay on the head and add drama for your client.

Both 1940’s historical techniques and modern adaptations will be demonstrated, allowing each student to make their own choice during the process. Several brim edge finishes will be included along with a variety of ways to trim your vintage style hat.
