A guide to selecting the hat-making courses best for you!
With 6 tutors, you have 6 options to choose from for each day. Here are a couple of tips and tricks we gathered from participants over the years:

1. Consider your skill level
Each class is marked with skill level: Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced, ALL.
At the beginner level, the classes will be geared toward those just starting in millinery or who would like to learn a particular skill. Perhaps learning a new feather technique or working with felt.
The intermediate level classes will be a little bit faster-paced, assuming that the basic skills like wiring a brim do not have to be revisited.
Advanced will focus on perfecting your craft.
ALL – the tutors will adjust the pace to your individual level. Your end result will depend on your skills.
2. Consider Supply lists
Before making a selection, get familiar with the supply list. Does your selected class require equipment that you do not own yet? Are you planning to invest in it right now? How much will you invest in new materials?
3. Consider your market
While many techniques taught can transcend seasons, you may consider what kind of hats typically sell in your region.
4. New challenge
And if all the business reasons fail, consider a class that would be a new challenge for you and stimulate your creativity. This should be a joyful learning experience for all!

In our past experiences as attendees, we found that writing out your choices and justifications ahead of registration really helped. Review classes here: Hat Making Courses
