Using straw braids or crinoline straw, add some tinsel braid from Christmas or perhaps create rouleaux in multiple colours and away we go. Structured and therefore distinct, these little elfin petals can take many forms. They can serve to add texture or interest or a colour note. They can come together to make an elegant trimming when flowers and feathers just seem too heavy-handed. A handy tool to have tucked away in any milliner’s coterie of creative solutions.
